Accomodation village design, construction & installation

The MGM Lodge was designed to house MGM’s truck drivers closer to the heart of Port Hedland. The integrated accommodation site located next to Port Hedland’s International Airport, spans 5 hectares in size and includes 220 rooms based on Grounded’s state-of-the-art modular room designs. The project also included a gym, admin building and store, wet and dry mess, 2 laundries, recreational areas and car park.

Scope of Works:

  • Design, Supply, Construct and Install
  • 220 accommodation rooms in Port Hedland
  • Infrastructure has availability for expansion to 400 persons
  • Earthworks and concreting
  • Civil/structural works
  • Site services including electrical, hydraulic and communications
  • Transportation
  • Central facilities including a kitchen that doubles as a cyclone shelter, laundry facilities, administration office and  fitness & wellness centre
  • Grounded self performed all aspects of this project except for electrical, hydraulic and mechanical services (subcontractors)
